Position Overview:


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Licensed Customs Broker to manage and oversee customs compliance operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for ensuring seamless import processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the preparation and submission of customs entries, ensuring full compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
  • Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and determine applicable duties and taxes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with CBP and other government agencies (e.g., FDA, USDA) to resolve issues and ensure timely clearance.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation for all import shipments.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on customs compliance procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to company processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to streamline customs clearance processes and address any compliance-related concerns.


Qualifications:


  • Licensed U.S. Customs Broker (required).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customs brokerage or import compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in customs software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
