Job Description 

This position is responsible for working closely with a collaborative team of professionals in our Science and Engineering Team, Supply Chain, Sales, Business Development, Marketing and other members of the Commercial Team.  This role will have a key leadership responsibility for the development and execution of the product line and application of strategy for Select Chemistry. 

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to

  • SAFETY: Responsible, professional, and accountable for conducting job tasks in a safe and healthy manner which includes performing in accordance with Health Safety Security & Environmental (HSSE) philosophy, standards, programs, rules and permits.
    • Work responsibly and take any necessary precautions to protect self and others from injury and health hazards.
    • Actively participates in HSSE meetings and promptly corrects unsafe acts and/or conditions.
  • Owns all aspects of the strategy, business development, and sales cycle from development of prospect list to closure to insure funnel of quality qualified deals appropriately actioned and transitioned from commercial prospect to commercially repeatable revenue with transition to day to day support team.
  • Assist with identification and development of equipment required for product line applications related to strategic growth plan.
  • Through market research and voice of the customer meetings to determine which products will yield the highest volumes and margin as part of strategic growth plan.
  • Recommend and implement best practices to assure margin targets are aligned with company objectives.
  • Requires strong commercial skills that can effectively communicate and present to Sr. Executives as well as customers at multiple levels to launch and execute new product lines as well as support existing product lines.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Minimum of 15 years of oil & gas experience with a deep understanding of all equipment, process flows, control theory and product applications across multiple production basins.
  • Requires strong technical skills relative to oil & gas applications including control theory, product selection methodology, application economics, and customer expectations. 
  • Ability to teach and develop training programs, establish KPI’s, and monitoring programs for customers and Select operations.
  • Experience in the development of Market Surveys for Strategic Business Development and sales growth.
  • Ability to audit and improve chemical applications and recommendations.

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications

  • Must have Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related Sciences.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Must have operational experience in the application of chemistry in the oil and gas industry.
  • Must have sales experience in the application of chemistry in the oil and gas industry.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to manage and mentor team associates.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to manage projects.
  • Masters or PhD in Science or Business is preferred.
  • International experience in working with E&P majors is preferred.
  • Experience in multiple producing basins in the oil & gas industry at an international level is preferred.
  • Experience working in the oil & gas production and stimulation environments is strongly preferred.
