Job Description: The Safety and Health Coordinator will be responsible for managing and implementing safety protocols across multiple facilities. This role involves planning, conducting inspections, training employees, and handling safety incidents to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce safety plans, ensuring daily adherence
  • Perform regular safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Coordinate and conduct safety walks and inspections
  • Educate employees on safety standards and procedures
  • Investigate workplace accidents and propose corrective actions
  • Maintain detailed documentation of safety procedures and incidents
  • Serve as the primary liaison for safety-related issues between management and other departments
  • Oversee the Safety Management Tool (SMT) and troubleshoot safety tool issues
  • Facilitate safety training and onboarding for new hires


Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • At least 3 years of experience in a safety and health coordination role
  • Experience in food production environments
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred


Additional Details:

  • Type/Length of Assignment: Direct Hire
  • Schedule: Onsite, Monday to Friday; must observe all shifts (6:00 am – 2:30 pm, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, 10:00 pm – 6:30 am) and be on call for emergencies
  • Other Compensation: Cell phone allowance ($40/month)
