Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced AI Research Lead for a private equity firm in Redwood City, CA In this role, as the academic lead in long term memory research, you’ll lead the AI team; researching and developing novel ideas and AI methods. This is a full time, direct hire, onsite role.

What you will be doing:

  • Explore new AI model structures beyond transformers to better utilize long term memory and train personalized models
  • Develop a personalized on-device AI model capable of real time learning based on user specific data input that produces identical outputs when given the same inputs
  • Utilizing real world user data and requirements, unlimited computing resources, comprehensive AI engineering capabilities and infrastructure


What you will need:

  • Chinese bilingual
  • PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
  • Experience in a leadership role (Assistant Professor, Senior AI Researcher/Scientist) with a proven track record of leading AI research projects
  • Experience publishing research technical/scientific journals
