We are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer. This position, reporting to the CEO, is part to full-time and is an excellent opportunity for someone excited to make an immediate and lasting impact on a growing company.

Position Overview:

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will work in an environment where everyone understands their role is to help and to jump into new challenges. The CFO’s primary areas of focus will be in owning and executing all items connected to Finance, effectively managing the Accounting team, and serving as the key financial communicator internally and externally.

This role will work very closely with the CEO and be accountable for keeping the CFO informed of the financial status of OTS and OTS-managed clinics. Effective communication with the CEO is paramount, along with good communication with the OTS Leadership team.

The CFO is responsible for directing and overseeing the financial activities of OTS and Clinics. The CFO performs financial modeling, cash flow analysis and strategic planning to ensure the financial health of OTS and support its growth. Together with the CEO, the CFO is a key part of the OTS Management Team, providing leadership for corporate operations, defining corporate finance policies and collaborating on critical business and development decisions. The CFO is an active, on-site manager of the Finance Team. This role oversees Finance in connection with clinics under development, operational clinics under management, and OTS. Working with the Board, the CFO plays an integral role in business development and development of OTS services. OTS currently has three clinics under management and three clinics under development. Going forward, OTS will open two to three new clinics and be in development of two to three new clinics annually.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the financial operations of OTS as well as the financial operations of clinics under OTS management.
  • Responsible for all accounting actions and tracking: expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash position.
  • Familiarize self with details of Development Service Agreements and Management Service Agreements to understand agreed upon reporting and information requirements to Tribal partners.
  • Maintain financial reporting across all clinics under management.
  • Manage and maintain financial oversight of clinics under development: budgets, in collaboration with CRO vendor agreements (negotiation and adherence), cash position.
  • Own and prepare all Finance information flow to the Board and Leadership with timeliness and consistency, allowing review and confirmation of the details before sharing externally.
  • Own, prepare and effectively present Finance updates to Tribal Clients in a succinct and consistent manner, demonstrating a deep understanding of the information.
  • Own and manage investor relations and communications.
  • In collaboration with leadership team set annual and long-term OTS and clinics’ financial budgets and goals (present to Board annually for approval).
  • Oversee accounting function and manage Finance Team at OTS.
  • Oversee tax filings for OTS.
  • Oversee financial audits for OTS and Clinics.
  • Ensure OTS compliance with financial and tax regulations.
  • With CEO and Board, responsible for supporting capital-raising activities as necessary.
  • Jointly responsible with CEO and Board of Directors for approving OTS financial policies and procedures.
  • Advise and regularly report to Board and Leadership Team on financial impacts of decision-making and ongoing accounting and revenue projections (short, mid, and long term).
  • Work with CRO and Clinic Operations to monitor and optimize tracking of billable encounters.
  • Monitor cash position and determine financial needs in real time and as part of strategic projections and models.
  • With CRO, collaborate with third-party medical billing vendor for clinics under OTS management.
  • Provide detailed summary information to the Board regarding tax filings and distributions.
  • Manage OTS Capitalization Table (in conjunction with attorneys) and manage Member Capital Accounts.
  • Collaborate with People Operations on health insurance and benefits selection and maintenance.
  • Jointly responsible with CEO for hiring or termination of outside accountants.
  • Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee works in an office setting where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must also analyze and evaluate situations and adopt effective courses of action.
