About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Account Director to join our team, specializing in the retail and beauty industries. This pivotal role involves managing client accounts, leading high-performing cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless project execution. You will drive strategic initiatives and process improvements, acting as the primary liaison between mid- and senior-level clients and internal teams. From project inception to completion, you will ensure client satisfaction and foster strong relationships while leveraging DCI Marketing’s extensive resources and expertise.

What You’ll Do:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, strategic relationships with clients in the retail and beauty sectors, deeply understanding their business goals, needs and challenges.
  • Lead account planning and strategy sessions, collaborating with internal teams to develop innovative marketing solutions tailored to the retail and beauty markets.
  • Provide strategic consultation to clients, identifying opportunities for business growth. Negotiate and close new sales opportunities to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Mentor and coach cross-functional team members, fostering their professional growth and helping them achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with internal functional teams to deliver exceptional service, seamless execution, and continuous process improvements for clients.
  • Develop and communicate granular account-level strategies to showcase DCI Marketing’s unique value proposition, particularly in selling custom point-of-sale and visual/digital merchandising materials.
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data in the CRM system.
  • Stay up to date on DCI Marketing’s products and services, with a keen focus on trends within the retail and beauty sectors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in retail marketing and/or beauty industries, with a proven ability to forge strong, consultative client partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, implementing, and measuring process improvement initiatives that enhance speed to market, streamline execution, and boost customer engagement.
  • Deep involvement with retail and beauty brands, and a comprehensive understanding of industry-specific marketing tactics and strategies.
  • Ability to leverage industry trends to benefit clients and drive business growth.
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven, comfortable achieving quantitative sales targets.
  • Financial acumen with a strong focus on the bottom line, consistently achieving objectives despite challenges.
  • Superior negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of building positive relationships with peers and clients in the retail and beauty markets.
