LOCATION: Texas / San Diego

POSITION SUMMARY: Stellar Blu Solutions is a leading innovator in the aerospace industry, and we’re seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our dynamic team. This position will be reporting directly to the CFO. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage corporate accounting, day-to-day operations, and month-end closing process.
  2. Serve as finance business partner for management, as well as sales, R&D, and operations departments.
  3. Manage, train, and mentor members of the finance team.
  4. Prepare a full reporting package in compliance with U.S. GAAP to headquarters.
  5. Prepare regulatory reports (tax returns, etc.)
  6. Work directly with Company’s auditor to manage audit and SOX processes.
  7. Establish and maintain controls over cash, inventory, etc.
  8. Preparation of Company’s annual budget and maintaining on-going control of it.
  9. Managing financial planning and analysis tasks including budget preparation and control, ongoing forecasting, etc.
  10. Oversee all accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and payroll activities.
  11. Oversee ERP accounting systems’ implementation for the company.
  12. Ability to travel between facilities in San Diego, California and Fort Worth, Texas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree and CPA
  2. Big 4 graduate
  3. Managerial experience (6+ years)
  4. Expertise in U.S. GAAP and public company accounting regulations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience as a controller/assistant controller in a public company
  2. Knowledge of NetSuite/SAP/EPM systems
  3. Knowledge of SOX compliance practices

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a post offer DOT drug test upon hire.
