POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electrical Controls Technician 2 is responsible for supporting projects that improve customer control systems and manufacturing operations to increase OEE (Quality, Availability, Efficiency), deploy new equipment, and /or provide emergency services to troubleshoot and resolve customer problems fast.The Electrical Controls Technician 2 will support projects by building custom control panels that are used in a variety of control systems and OEM applications.

Top 5 DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Build controls panels using engineering/electrical drawings.

2. Provide localized wiring of control panels/devices on equipment.

3. Support Controls Engineer 1 and Project Engineers with various tasks and projects.

4. Assist Controls Engineer 1 and Project Engineers with on-site installations.

5. Support manufacturing floor with troubleshooting and repair of equipment

 

The Top 5 above include, but are not limited to the following sub-tasks:

· Work will be split between inhouse / shop floor and customer locations to execute jobs and ensure customer satisfaction

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

· Associates degree or above in Electrical Engineering Technoloy plus 3 years’ experience in the field or 5 years’ experience in a related field.

· Preferred to have previous experience in roles where direct communication with customers to resolve issues was key to success.

· Technical proficiency with CAD.

· Technical proficiency with electrical troubleshooting.

· Basic Knowledge of PLC / HMI programming, and motion control.

· Basic Knowledge of control panel layout and design.
