Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tier 1 Desktop Support Specialist to execute the migration of devices across the Workspace One platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for migrating devices (e.g., desktops, laptops, and mobile devices) to a new system while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. This role is essential to the successful modernization and digital transformation of our IT infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stage, plan, schedule, and setup of all devices, including PCs, tablets, mobile phones, and peripherals, to the Workspace One system.
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware as part of the migration process.
  • Ensure data is properly backed up and restored during device migrations to avoid data loss.
  • Document migration procedures, processes, and issues encountered to help improve future migrations.
  • Maintain accurate records of device inventories, configurations, and migration statuses.


Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT device migration, system upgrades, or device refresh projects.
  • Strong knowledge of device management systems, such as Workspace One, Microsoft Intune, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems (Android/iOS).
  • Familiarity with data migration tools and processes, including backup and recovery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear technical guidance to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple migrations simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise-level device imaging, setup, migration, and rollout.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
