Through interviews and observation, you will gain a deep understanding of processes, workflows, objectives, and challenges faced by various user types. From this, you will build and prioritize a backlog of industry-leading enhancements. You will create wireframes and collaborate with the UI design team to communicate new product capabilities to developers, executives, and beta customers for rapid feedback, iteration, and implementation. Leveraging agile approaches, you will work collaboratively with developers to break the backlog into stories with clearly articulated acceptance criteria, ensuring efficient and effective delivery to the market ahead of our competition. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle from kickoff to launch, utilizing strong communication skills to educate, enroll, and evangelize new releases across the organization and to the user community.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Conducting voice of customer research by interacting with the user group, customers, and non-customers.
  2. Identifying and documenting market problems and requirements to solve those problems.
  3. Using pragmatic methods to prioritize the product backlog and communicate those priorities across the organization.
  4. Detailing epics and breaking down stories to ensure they are development-ready.
  5. Creating wireframes and delivering UI mockups in collaboration with the design team.
  6. Managing planning sprints and sprint review meetings.
  7. Attending daily standups, reviewing implemented features, and providing developer feedback.
  8. Managing the entire product lifecycle, including product launch, with the support of product marketing.
  9. Conducting market, industry, and competitive analysis.

Requirements

Experience & Education

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
  2. 5-8 years of experience in product management with a strong focus on AI, machine learning, or related technologies.
  3. Experience with Generative AI: Familiarity with tools and frameworks like GPT, DALL-E, or similar generative AI technologies.
  4. Experience in remote work environments: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a distributed team.

Technical Skills

  1. Understanding of AI and Machine Learning Concepts: Ability to translate complex AI technologies into user-friendly products.
  2. Data Analysis & Metrics: Proficiency in using data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) to drive product decisions.
  3. API Management: Experience with APIs, particularly those related to AI and machine learning models.
  4. Product Lifecycle Management: Proven experience in taking products from concept to launch, with an emphasis on iterative development and user feedback.

Product Management Skills

  1. Roadmap Development & Prioritization: Ability to develop and manage a product roadmap, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision.
  2. User-centered Design: Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and ability to collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive products.
  3. Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, and user story creation.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work with engineering, data science, marketing, and sales teams to deliver product features.

Communication & Leadership

  1. Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including executives, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  2. Customer-Focused Mindset: Passionate about understanding and solving customer problems, with a strong ability to gather and synthesize customer feedback.
  3. Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  1. Market Analysis: Ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.
  2. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the business implications of AI technologies, including potential revenue streams, cost implications, and scalability.
