Job Summary: Oversees sales operations to ensure the attainment of established sales objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and manages sales department:
    Manages the daily activities and performance of sales associates/team.
    Oversees lead control, pricing, and customer satisfaction. Handles customer complaints.
    Monitors key accounts.
    Creates a sales plan and executes the sales strategy.
    Coordinates team strategic sales meetings.
    Communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to sales associates.
    Prepares and tracks sales budget/forecast.
  2. Continually gathers, analyzes, and monitors information on competition and market trends; communicates information to sales associates and others as needed.
  3. Possesses and maintains current and thorough knowledge of industry product and sales information.
  4. Oversees preparation of sales proposals and tools; participates in sales presentations as needed.
  5. Works in tandem with other departments to share information and achieve sales goals.
  6. Provides timely and accurate sales reports to senior management team.
  7. Attends and participates in business/trade events as required.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Directly supervises employees within the Sales department.
    Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  2. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent
  2. Minimum five years of related experience in any of the following industries:
    Underground construction/utilities
    Heavy construction/equipment
    Trench digging
    Home construction/home services
    Plumbing/sewage (commercial/HOA/residential)
  3. Proven leadership and business acumen skills
  4. Well-developed negotiation, project, and account management skills
  5. Prior supervisory/management experience
  6. Ability to work with all levels of management
  7. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  9. Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills
  10. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  11. Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
  12. Willingness to travel
  13. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
  14. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
  15. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  16. Strong people skills
  17. Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise
  18. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
