Desktop Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Technician to join our supply chain team. The Desktop Technician is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop systems and ensuring optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktop systems.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
• Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
• Maintain inventory of desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktop systems.
• Ensure desktop systems comply with security policies and procedures.
• Document and track technical issues and resolutions.

General

Proves ability to solve problems creatively.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Desktop hardware and software troubleshooting
• Technical support and customer service
• Desktop imaging and deployment
• Windows operating systems

Microsoft Office Suite

Inventory management

• Documentation and reporting
• Problem-solving and decision-making

Education and/or Experience:

• B.S in Computer Science or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Desktop Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with desktop imaging and deployment tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
