We are seeking a skilled Network Architect IV with expertise in DOCSIS PHY (Physical Layer) technologies to join a dynamic team focused on the future of telecommunications networks. The successful candidate will engage in research, architecture, and engineering activities to enhance and maintain telecommunications hardware, software, and services.

About the Role:

  • 6+month contract (expected to be a long-term contract)
  • Hybrid schedule (4 days/week onsite in Denver Tech Center)
  • High preference for candidates already local to Denver, CO
  • Flexible hourly rates


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to define technical requirements for new products and services.
  • Develop proof-of-concept projects that demonstrate proposed technologies and assist in their deployment.
  • Engage in system architecture and testing for various access technologies, including HFC DAA, DOCSIS, and PON.
  • Create system requirement documents, design documents, migration strategies, strategic roadmaps, and proof of concepts.
  • Lead initiatives in developing next-generation DOCSIS technology and its PHY specifications.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure product and service deliverables meet business requirements and internal customer needs.
  • Represent the organization in industry standards bodies such as CableLabs and SCTE, and write technical papers for industry conferences.


Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) technology and DOCSIS PHY specifications.
  • Proven track record of leadership and innovation, evidenced by published technical papers and granted patents.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts.
