We are seeking a full-time person to procure parts and materials for all company projects across the company. The Parts Procurement Specialist will oversee and manage the warehouse and its inventory for a 3,500 square foot shop.


Projects the company undertakes will include a wide range of electrical projects including vessel shore power work, alternative marine power, mobile crane electrical supply, hydraulic systems, communication systems, terminal wide power systems, gate systems, and other floating electrical projects. The projects tend to be on demand and onsite on the vessels both port side as well as in deep water.


Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Parts Procurement Specialist:

  • Efficiently sourcing and coordinating parts for company projects
  • Manage timelines, lead times and deliverables of all company inventory
  • Communicate with and update Project Leads with pertinent parts information including pricing, lead times, expected delivery times, etc.
  • Communicate closely with the leadership team
  • Document the procedures, vendor information, etc. that the company uses for the purchase of company inventory and materials
  • Provide inventory valuations on an ad hoc basis
  • Maintain and organize company warehouse
  • Standardize procedures for field crews and their use of company inventory
  • Reports to Director of Operations

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in Marine Electrical and knowledge of parts and materials required by large commercial vessels is a huge plus.
  • Over 6-10 years of experience in in procuring electrical parts and components
  • The role requires strong work ethics, enthusiasm, team first approach, transparency, and accountability
  • Ability to lead by example and have strong communication skills.
  • Strong reporting and process improvement experience
