The Basics of a Senior Branch Associate role:
- Weekly schedules will be set between the hours of 8:45-5:15p M-F
- Rotating Saturday hours from 8:45-1:30p.
What you'll do as a Senior Branch Associate:
In the Senior Branch Associate role, you will serve as a leader in your branch, increasing your professional expertise in consumer and business products and services, and managing more complex scenarios. You will work to create a top-tier experience for our members and proactively assist with their financial services needs by opening accounts, submitting loan applications, problem-solving member issues, building relationships, and educating members on additional products and services to improve their financial lives.

- Be a champion for a Top-Tier experience for members in the branch, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Maintain and share knowledge of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures with team members.
- Educate and engage members on financial products and services using a needs-based approach.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in opening new accounts and products including savings, checking, debit cards, money market, CDs, IRAs, HSAs, and other specialty deposit and loan accounts for both consumer and business members.
- Develop and propose multiple decision alternatives as needed utilizing good, individual judgment to address and solve all member issues through various communication channels including in-branch, phone, email, etc.
- Listen to and leverage cues from members to evaluate and determine needs for additional products & services; make referrals to product experts (Ex. Financial Advisors and third-party partners).
- Actively engage in financial literacy conversations to help members navigate through credit, long-term planning, and budget counseling for credit union products.
- Operate the branch in the absence of a supervisor to include escalations.
- Lead training for new team members, and provide overrides and vault management as needed.
- Actively screen resumes and participate in candidate interviews.
- Lead and process opening and end-of-day procedures for the branch.
- Lead business development and volunteer events to expand Credit Union reach.
- Act as a Notary Public and perform Medallion Signature Guarantee service as needed.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by leadership.
- Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.
Qualifications
Must Haves for the Senior Branch Associate Role:
- Leadership, Building Relationships, Exceptional Listening skills, Exceptional Verbal Communication skills, Good Problem-Solving Skills, Attention to Detail, Cash Handling, and Tech Fluency.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a New Accounts/Member Service role or equivalent experience.
- High willingness to learn and be a self-starter.
- Outgoing, personable, and a team player.
- Great communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- HS Diploma or GED.
Nice to Haves for the Senior Branch Associate Role:
- Cross-selling experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
