The Plant Coordinator will work with the Supervisor to assist with machinery, equipment, tools and materials needed to receive, treat and package high quality seed. The coordinator duties may include, but are not limited to: receiving, harvest and drying, bulk management, conditioning, treating, packaging, and maintenance, to meet customer needs. Lead by example and assist to foster a culture of safety, drive quality and productivity in assigned area.
- Ensure that employees are working within established policies, procedures and regulations (both internal and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job.
- Identify potential and actual hazards within your area or department(s) and facilitate immediate corrective action for the protection of the worker.
- Provide instructions to workers for safe operation of equipment and associated tasks.
- Report any accidents, incidents, near misses and hazardous observations to supervision immediately.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all safety and working rules.
- Assist with onboarding new employees.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to; lead by example.
- Network with other supervisors and coordinators to coordinate workflow and coordination of resources between departments/ locations.
- Ensure internal controls are maintained and followed and that product meets all quality criteria.
- Identify areas for improvement.
- Excellent regular full-time attendance in support of company objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Creative self-starter and problem solver with tolerance for ambiguity.
- Organizational skills.
- Able to make quick, sound decisions under stress and deal with high-pressure situations.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to motivate employees to meet or exceed their production goals.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Requires 2 to 5 years of experience in plant operations.
- English communication skills required (verbal & written).
- Knowledgeable of the fundamentals of the overall processes supervised.
- Math reasoning required.
- Must possess an excellent multi-faceted functional knowledge of plant operations.
- State specific pesticide applicators license (if not currently licensed, this must be completed within one year from date of hire).
