LifeCircles provides all-inclusive care to frail seniors in the community who desire to remain in their home but need additional support to achieve that goal. Geriatric appropriate clinical services are provided both in the onsite clinics and in participant’s homes. Position Summary

The Restorative Aide is to facilitate movement-based activity and restorative therapy to LifeCircles participants to preserve mobility and functional independence. This position is responsible for assisting the overall therapy department at LifeCircles. This includes provision of services at the center and in the community.

• Collaborate with therapy team for restorative therapy programming, with participants individually and in groups.
• Follows individual plan of care as provided by PT or OT.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion needs of participants as determined by and under the direction of PT and/or OT.
• Integrate with recreational therapy programming to facilitate movement-based activity in the day center.
• Participate in development of movement challenges, education, and activities.
• Provide services to participants in the day center and community, including homes and facilities.
• Assist with daily tasks of the therapy department, including DME management.
• Maintain therapy supply and assist with managing inventory. Follow cleaning protocols to maintain therapy gym and workspaces.
• Uses appropriate safety measures when providing care and performing other job duties.

Required Qualifications

• Preferred OTA, PTA, CNA, Rehab Tech, Restorative Aide, CNA experience.
• One year of experience working with the frail elderly.
• Must have reliable transportation and a current valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Must possess current CPR certification by AHA or be willing and able to obtain as offered by LifeCircles.
