We are seeking a Media Buying Supervisor within our Local Activation Team who will play an important role on a key account within the Connecticut market.

Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of the TV and Radio landscape in Connecticut local markets and surrounding areas
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors; has established relationships within the CT market
  • Cultivates strong client relationships by being passionate and curious about client's business, with a strong and informed point of view on how to best spend their media investment portfolio
  • Skilled at presenting to clients and helping to shape a client's understanding of buy details and rationale
  • Development of junior staff, as well as partners and peers across all departments to ensure high quality and consistent media prowess across the entire agency
  • Grows business opportunities within current clients, where appropriate
  • Has a thorough understanding of all elements of the brand and specifically its strategic target and prime prospects
  • Willing to immerse themselves within the market and client vertical from a knowledge standpoint
  • Works with planning teams to strategize campaigns, assess performance, derive insights and deliver on objective
  • Participates in new business efforts and presentations, where appropriate
  • Establishes strong internal relationships with other agency departments (including but not limited to ad ops, accounting, analytics)
  • Manages vendor billing: insertion orders, monthly billing reports, discrepancy resolution, and reconciliations
  • Ensures key information is being provided to the team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.
  • Properly delegates tasks to ensure appropriate utilization
  • Participates in client meetings and is available to travel locally

What makes a great Local Activation Supervisor at our agency?

  • 5-10 years of media buying experience, including at least 2 years of managerial experience
  • Strong established relationships with TV and Radio networks in the Connecticut market and surrounding
  • Strong media vendor negotiation experience
  • Working knowledge of Mediaocean platforms (SpectraOX primarily), Nielsen, Mediacost (SQAD, Netcost)
  • Foundational working knowledge of adjacent channels: online video, audio and OOH activation
  • Knowledge of media research terminology
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience

Our office is located in Connecticut. Our employee mix is about 50/50 Local to Remote. While we maintain a highly flexible work culture for all, our local candidates are encouraged to use our updated office space in Sandy Hook, CT which allows you to take part in our office culture and team development that naturally occurs in office. In addition, if you need to take a break from work, there is a beautiful waterfall and serene stream just outside our front door. Candidates from outside the local area who are able to work during our core East Coast office hours, 8:30am-5:30pm ET, are encouraged to apply. Our team working remotely is invited to the office a minimum of two times per year for our Summer Party and again for the Holiday Party. Other team or client meetings may be scheduled at other times during the year.
