Scheduler and HR Assistant at Gyu Kaku Japanese BBQ

Primary Responsibilities
The HR Assistant supports of the day-to-day operations of the human resources function. The incumbent carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, staffing, organization development, company policies and procedures, employee relations, training, labor law, benefits, safety. This is an entry level position.
Essential Functions
- Recruiting and staffing
- Performance management
- Employee relations
- Company employee communication
- Benefits administration and record keeping
- Employee files and HR filing
- Responds to employees inquiries and assists employees with any issues or concerns
- Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested
- Maintains the employee annual review process
- Designs and revises company policies and procedures
- Creates schedules weekly for the staff through scheduling software
- Attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be computer savvy
- Must be able to work 4-6 hours a day (depends on operation needs), 3-5 days a week.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office- Excel, Word.
- Ability to multitask and effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
Internship accepted (Flexible work hours and can be tailored around class schedule).
