Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Clerk to join our team in Dallas, TX. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, movements, and transactions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Receive, count, and record incoming inventory accurately.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts.
  • Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any issues.

Data Entry and Documentation:

  • Enter inventory data into computerized systems and maintain updated records.
  • Generate inventory reports and summaries as required.
  • Maintain documentation related to inventory movements, adjustments, and transfers.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Prepare and fulfill orders based on inventory levels and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely order processing.

Stock Control and Replenishment:

  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding inventory shipments and deliveries.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect incoming inventory for damages, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures for incoming goods.

Inventory Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities to optimize inventory management processes and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control and management.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding inventory status and issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
