This position will require you to ensure a patient’s insurance will cover the required medical procedures or hospital stays.   • Verify insurance information for new patients and referrals.
  • Update insurance information for existing patients.
  • Obtain pre-authorization approvals for recommended services and procedures.
  • Explain to patients what their financial responsibilities will be.
Insurance Verification Specialist's Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a high-volume insurance verification / prior authorization role is required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills are required.
