The Marketing and Design Coordinator position provides quality support and superior customer service by developing and maintaining marketing materials and strategic campaigns that engage, inform and inspire others for five different businesses. They will apply their creativity and design skills to generate memorable designs that align with the brand's identity and appeal to our target demographic(s).


Essential Functions


· Create and design new beer labels/brands, boxes and marketing materials for Empyrean Brewing, Co.

· Design and schedule email blasts for Lazlo, Inc. and Empyrean Brewing, Co. and conducts monthly reporting

· Work on a wide range of products and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals

· Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with marketing team on strategic campaigns to reach target audience through appropriate channels.

· Help assist in creating new web sites and web site content creation and maintenance

· Design, create, and develop digital and print marketing materials, such as brochures, blogs, training materials, posters, menus, merchandise, scripts, packaging, social media graphics, etc. across five brands.

· Utilize a variety of skills such as copywriting, illustrating, typography, photography, videography, and digital design to create brand specific content

· Report monthly Google analytics (GA4) to executive team

· Participate in photography/ videography shoots

· Create and manage company branding guides and customer personas

· Print and distribute marketing materials, as needed

· Strategize SEO efforts to maximize web site performance and traffic

· Obtain input from the Marketing Manager to ensure that designs meet brand expectations and represent the company accurately

· Maintain the confidentiality of the company’s proprietary and sensitive information

· Act as backup to the Social Media Marketing Coordinator

· Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager


Competencies


· Extensive knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop

· Creative and technical understanding of good design and layout, typography and color selections

· Goal driven with excellent communication skills

· Photography and videography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software

· Self-motivated and well-organized; can work in a team environment, meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities at once

· Experience with social media platforms, specifically Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Untapped

· Experience in all Microsoft applications

· Creative and technical understanding of good design and layouts

· Strong language skills: copywriting, proofreading and the ability to communicate complex ideas

· Experience in WordPress and Wix for content management

· Ability to maintain awareness of new and emerging marketing trends through market research

· Natural sense of customer service and what it means to exceed expectations


Work Environment


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and copiers.


Physical Demands


While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand. The employee is occasionally required to bend, twist or reach as well as lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision preferred and the ability to adjust focus between multiple tasks.


Reports To


Marketing Manager


Availability

40 hours per week, typically Monday-Friday, from 8am-5pm. Some nights and weekends to work events.


Required Education and Experience


An associate degree in Marketing or similar field with 2-4 years’ experience


Preferred Education and Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or related field with 2-4 years’ experience
