Manage client workstation, server, and network security. Assess current client security against regulatory IT security standards. Create and maintain documentation for process and compliance standards.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Run regular security audits using Karpel audit tools and assess changes that will need to be made to accommodate IT security standards.
  • Check Karpel’s Security Awareness Training for any new campaigns that need to be refreshed on a yearly basis with Karpel clients.
  • Work with SOC to make sure SIEM and MDR items are being remediated.
  • Check Anti-Virus portal for any incidents and audit resources from RMM portal with what is in Anti-Virus portal to make sure all clients have Anti-Virus, and it is in a running state.
  • Check MDR console against RMM portal to make sure that the counts are the same in both.
  • Make sure firewalls are backed up and running in Cloud Firewall Manager.
  • Audit firewalls to make sure they are locked down and secure.
  • Review ConnectWise Command patching policies and make sure patching automation is pushing patches to servers and desktops.
  • Audit group policy for servers and desktops to harden their security.
  • Check server and SaaS backups to make sure they are all current and the hardware can complete the recover tasks.
  • Checking access point and switch cloud console to make sure all sites are backed up.
  • Run security network scan on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis on clients.
  • Run dark web scans on clients monthly/quarterly/yearly.
  • Review CVE’s and implement remediation to client environment.
  • Remediate any security customer tickets that come into ticketing system.
  • Run Red Team security audit on Karpel prospects and write report on audit findings along with remediation.
  • Audit Microsoft Office 365 cloud to harden security.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology.
Requirements:
  • Experience with current Microsoft Server and workstation OS’s.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Azure AD, Intune, MFA, O365 SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Enterprise Mobility + Security.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Virtual server, Hyper V, and VMware virtualization.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, configuring, securing, and supporting small to enterprise level Active Directory environments.
