Front Desk Receptionist:

Key Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak in Spanish.

Schedule Commitment:

  • Available to work on Saturdays.

Job Duties:

  • Greet Guests, providing them with information and directions as needed.
  • Answer phones, including checking voicemail and returning or redirecting calls.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy front receptionist area.

Social Media Duties:

  • Assist with social media by taking photos for events, activities and programs.
  • Create 2-3 posts of activity at WDMC on social media outlets.
  • Post Announcements of upcoming events to social media as they are received.

Emergency Food Duties:

  • Collaborate with partner organizations to ensure that the center maintains a minimum inventory.
  • During assigned hours, provide emergency food boxes to those in need as requested.
  • Provide information about food pantry and services to visitors.
    Submit, enter and provide summary information from cards monthly.

Facility Hospitality Duties:

  • Ensure that there is water in the cooler.
  • Ensure thar coffee is in turn along with coffee cups and condiments as appropriate.
    Ensure that inventory of hospitality product is maintained.
  • Alert Ashley in advance of shortage of items so products can be ordered and attained.

Secondary responsibility for reservation/space use:

  • Assist in providing facility tours in absence of Center manager and on Saturday 9a-3p.
  • Refer to the shared calendar in outlook that documents all space usage.
  • Support to ensure that space is appropriate and ready to host the group or organization.
  • Support to coordinate with Ronnie to ensure conference rooms are neat and tidy and table are wiped down after each meeting.
Primary responsibility for support of the Produce Distribution Program:
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to support ordering of produce distribution.
  • During 2nd and 4th Friday distribution events, assist with table set up and tear down to allow for sorting and bagging.
  • Support distribution to community members.
  • Ensure that we have an inventory of information cards to distribute and collect at each event.
  • Collect information card for all community members.
  • Submit, enter and provide summary information from cards for each event.
  • Ensure availability of marketing information cards.
  • Collaborate with Ashley to have copies made.
  • Assist with Community Garden and Giving Grove.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least two (2) years of work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role.
