Responsibilities:
  • Assesses site installation conditions by conducting inspections and properly preparing and setting up project work site equipment, tools, and staffing.
  • Ensures equipment is available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades, and minimizing downtime.
  • Confirms equipment and testing chamber performance by performing new equipment installations according to industry standards for all refrigeration and electrical components, and adjusting controls and systems for efficient operation according to specific engineering designs.
  • Develops and carries out assigned equipment installation tasks to ensure customers' environmental simulation equipment and chambers are functioning and reliable.
  • Main Fleet vehicles.
  • Ensures shop equipment operates smoothly by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and arranging for repairs when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Required technical skill sets include construction, electrical, mechanical, and operational troubleshooting disciplines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, and maintaining communications via email, phone, and instant messaging is necessary.
  • Ability to read and understand system blueprints/schematics for refrigeration, electrical, and process controls and systems.
  • Must be comfortable with maintaining job-related travel (typically approximately 50%) within the US and some international travel, with the ability to secure a passport as needed.
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Capable of performing all physical duties and tasks typically associated with HVAC/R and construction work, including standing for prolonged periods, heavy lifting, and climbing on and around equipment, ladders, and lifts.
