Job Summary:

As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from drafting to negotiation and execution. Contracts Manager will direct and manage the Contracts Department in addition to managing an active contract portfolio. Oversees Contracts Administrators and interfaces with contracting officers, technical points of contact, subcontractors, and Government personnel.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee preparation of proposals, tracking of financial performance, and preparation of external financial reports.
  • Ensures that Compass Systems complies with all contractual requirements.
  • Requesting extensions, realignments, increased levels of effort, tracking delivery order awards and modifications.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial data and deliverables, including estimates for monthly reports that detail project status.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of contracts, including but not limited to procurement, sales, leases, and service agreements.
  • Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions, and ensure that all parties fulfill their obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate contractual risks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of contract templates, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to cross-functional teams on contractual matters, including legal and business implications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts, amendments, and related documents.

Other Job Functions:

  • Responds to requests from internal departments and makes sure all contracts are drafted and executed promptly and correctly.
  • Develops strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels.
  • Adheres to all federal, state, and local business laws and regulations and company policies
Requirements:

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business-related field desired, extra years of experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DoD contract management.
  • Strong understanding of FAR/DFAR clauses.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Costpoint Deltek experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit, walk, see, hear, and feel. Occasionally will need to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Moderate environment temperature and noise level, Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents. Can learn and apply new information and/or skills.
