Position Overview:
UTB Title seeks a skilled Commercial Escrow Officer to manage complex commercial real estate transactions and issue various title insurance products and endorsements. This role requires expertise in both closing and underwriting to handle real estate closings, particularly in commercial, multi-site, and multi-state transactions. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and experience to independently manage the escrow and closing process effectively. This position offices onsite from our north Dallas headquarters. 

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain escrow records and files, acting as the escrow agent.
  • Manage a portfolio of escrow customers/agents, providing high-level customer service.
  • Maintain records in the escrow accounting system and customer database.
  • Develop and obtain appropriate escrow documentation per policy, procedures, and regulations.
  • Review and understand commercial contracts and escrow agreements.
  • Make commercial disbursements from settlement statements.
  • Prepare commercial settlement statements upon request.
  • Understand the process of recording closing documents.
  • Conduct closings with customers, brokers, lenders, and attorneys.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience handling escrow transactions as an Escrow Officer/Assistant.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate and title insurance policies, products, and endorsements.
  • Working knowledge of ALTA surveys and other survey types.
  • Proficiency in standard escrow/title industry practices and procedures.
  • Currently in an Escrow Officer / Commercial Closer role.
  • Excellent client relations and organizational skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including basic algebra and geometry.
  • Proficiency in Title Software programs (RamQuest, Qualia, Resware & SoftPro) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and manage multiple roles (sellers, buyers, agents, brokers).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
