As the Image Coordinator, the individual selected for this role will provide photos of productions, projects, and events; maintain still photographic database and archive; produce and edit promotional video segments for broadcast and digital.
Our ideal Candidate will:
Act as primary agency photographer and coordinate agency photography services.
Produce and edit short videos for broadcast, website, social media, and other uses.
Organize photo collections and maintain database of current and archival photographs.
Coordinate hiring and scheduling of contract photographers as needed.
Under the coordination of the Director of Marketing & Communications and On-Air Image/Promotion Manager, provide assistance to On-Air Promotion department as needed.
Participate in and support the planning, design, coordination, and execution of institutional, marketing, education and fundraising campaigns; and assist in broader Marketing Division functions as needed.
Demonstrate dedication to diversity in areas of responsibility.
As an employee, perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization.
Successful applicants will have the following minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of three (3) years of professional photographic and video production experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
Must be computer literate with knowledge of digital photo equipment and printing.
Excellent photography and imaging skills, including experience with Adobe Creative apps required.
Demonstrated experience with video producing and editing, including use of AVID or Adobe Premiere required.
A blend of technical and artistic skills required.
Experience lighting for still and motion photography preferred.
Must be detailed oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Must work well with a team and be able to build cross-departmental consensus.
Must have the ability to prioritize duties and work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of public broadcasting and/or KET is preferred.
Some evening and weekend work required.
Some travel required.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license to drive KET vehicles.
