Academics Coordinator

Siena Catholic Schools of Racine is seeking an Academics Coordinator to assist in the implementation of academic initiatives and provide training and coaching to teachers within the seven Catholic schools in Racine, WI which make up Siena Catholic Schools of Racine. This is a calendar (year round) position. Siena Catholic Schools of Racine comprises of six elementary/middle schools and one high school that serve more than 1,600 students. Sharing your skills will guide the organization toward its goal of ensuring excellence in academics, nurturing faith formation, and developing healthy students.

Position Summary: This position will focus on collaborating with the Chief Academic Officer to support the implementation of academic initiatives within Siena Catholic Schools of Racine. This role provides staff training in implementing best teaching practices to ensure student success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides Professional Learning to teachers on a variety of topics pertaining to system goals;

• Assists principals in supporting classroom teachers in all aspects of instruction, including learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques

• Serves as an instructional coach for teachers in a variety of grade levels and content areas (including modeling, co-teaching, observing, and providing actionable feedback);

• Analyzes assessment data to help learning support coordinators and teachers plan for interventions and small-group instruction

• Assists principals in supporting all aspects of instruction, including learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques;

• Ensures curriculum alignment, 3K-12, through a coordinated, collaborative process;

• Leads the learning support coordinators in monthly meetings and with continued growth in the MTSS model;

• Supports the Chief Academic Officer in working with vendors to obtain quotes, administration of curriculum sites, updating the Teaching and Learning page of the Siena Intranet page with resources to support teachers, and designing and facilitating professional learning

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education

• 5 or more years of classroom teaching experience or 2 years of administrative or instructional coach experience

• Desire to continue career growth

• Adept in the use of Google Workspace products, Apple Products, apps, and other relevant technology to communicate with employees

Work is performed in a pleasant indoor office environment. May be exposed to heat, cold, wet and high humidity when traveling between sites. Work hours are somewhat flexible but generally 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. Regular travel to multiple school sites required.
