Summary of Position:

The Chief Business Development Officer is responsible for increasing: patient census, overall market penetration, increasing referral sources, and the positive promotion of EverHeart Hospice through specific marketing functions as well as oversight of the agency volunteer program. The Chief Business Development Officer will be part of the growth of the overall marketing program.

Responsibilities of Position:

1. Develop and implement Agency policies and procedures.

2. Assist with the development of the Agency goals and strategic plan.

3. Manage departmental budget and control expenditures.

4. Develop and implement departmental vision, goals, and implementation plan.

5. Build and maintain an effective management team.

6. Participate in Agency survey. (ie. Ohio, Joint Commission, Finance, etc)

7. Conduct new employee orientation monthly.

8. Attend monthly Board of Director meetings as applicable.

9. Maintain referral source relationships and pursue new referral opportunities.

10. Maintain the referral source database.

11. Build relationships with funding sources within service areas.

12. Ensure that the agency is involved in valuable public relations activities.

13. Oversee the maintenance of the fundraising software.

14. Oversee the development of the overall marketing and fundraising programs.

15. Plan and direct development activities which include but are not limited to planned giving program, grant opportunities, fundraisers, major asks or other giving opportunities.

16. Research development opportunities such as donor procurements, memorial gardens, etc.

17. Manage online presence, including social media accounts.

18. Oversee the development and implementation of the overall volunteer program.

19. Oversee the agency newsletter.

20. Coordinate advertising with all media information: newsletters, radio announcements, TV commercials, and news articles are accurate in the promotion of the agency.

21. Oversee the coordination and attend area health fairs when deemed appropriate.

22. Other duties as assigned.
