What will I be doing?
As a member of our team, the Contractor – Family Support Specialist can provide the following services for families who are involved with DFCS (Dept. of Family and Children Services):
- Supervision for displaced foster children
- Parent Aid Training
- Supervise visitation between approved parents and children
- Provide transportation services
- Provide drug screen collections
- Collaborate with case managers, other contractors, and community partners to ensure effective treatment and case collaboration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field Human Services degrees which are acceptable: Psychology, Sociology, Counseling (religious counseling does not qualify) Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health, Human Services, Education (experience teaching K-12 grade)
- Or
- Five years’ experience in the human-services field working with children.
