At Spectra, a Diverzify company, the Accounting Manager oversees our accounting department’s daily operations. You will supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities and your responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. You will work closely with our financial management team to manage financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and tax audits. Our ideal candidate uses strong analytical skills to create detailed financial reports and forecasts. To succeed in this role, you should also have a problem-solving attitude and be able to manage a team. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our financial management is accurate and effective.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
  • Recruit and hire accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
  • Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
  • Oversee preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
  • Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Keep up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Code Accounts Payable invoices.
  • Accounts Receivable duties including distributing aging, unapplied cash applications, underbilling management, and subcontractor payroll.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • 3+ years of Accounting Management experience in Flooring Installation or Construction Management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Bilingual, Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
