Position Summary:

The Senior Software QA Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and reliability of our products by developing and implementing comprehensive test plans. This individual will act as a key support resource for the Test Lead on various projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Senior Software QA Engineer will identify, report, and address defects or issues, ensuring timely resolutions. This position demands robust problem-solving abilities and a strong commitment to delivering software solutions of the highest quality.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and cases for software applications, ensuring thorough coverage and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance Engineers to conduct extensive functionality testing across all stages.
  • Execute detailed test cases, documenting results to confirm software quality and functionality.
  • Conduct peer reviews of test cases to ensure clarity and comprehensive requirement coverage.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and project managers, to maintain software quality standards.
  • Perform regression testing to verify software stability and performance and develop automation suites to streamline this process.
  • Support the deployment and release process with quality assurance expertise, ensuring smooth and reliable software releases.
  • Continuously refine testing strategies and methodologies to improve efficiency and test effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify and address potential project risks, enhancing project success and stability.
  • Engage in effective project management, coordinating with both local and remote teams, and be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
  • May work nights and weekends for deployments.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience - Minimum four (4) years of experience in Quality Assurance.

Education – requirements and/or certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.

Skills required (examples below):

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing and synthesizing multiple test initiatives in dynamic environments, ensuring timely and coherent outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of QA methodologies and tools, including Jira, Test Rail, and ALM, complemented by expertise in Salesforce, Postman, SQL, Genesys IVR, and MuleSoft.
  • Skilled in full project lifecycle management, from initiation through deployment, with a strong foundation in Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities, enabling the successful execution of concurrent projects to meet strategic goals.
  • Proficient in crafting detailed project documentation, including reports, test plans, and cases, while also delivering quality process training and serving as a pivotal internal consultant.

Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX
