Responsibilities:

Coordinates directly with the project manager and project superintendent to support projects success. To make sure the project team has all the current documents needed from submitting RFI to getting the response to the foreman and project team. Track and keep current project logs from RFI logs to Submittal logs to change order logs. Conduct weekly meetings with the Project Manager to keep him current and if anything is outstanding. Have weekly meetings via Teams with the foreman to make sure RFI’S are current, and submittals are current and has the correct information. Be able to gather the needed information from the foreman to be able to write and submit an RFI. Be able to track all specialty products like Lighting, Gear, Cable Tray and misc. material and provide ship date to the field.

Also be able to produce submittals per the contract documents and get them submitted to the general contractor for approval. Be able to Scrub the submittals once they are returned approved and released with the supplier. This position requires a very good communicator, and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time. And to be able to work with multiple project managers at one time as well.

Supervisory Responsibility

Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with APIC policies/ procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

  1. Be able to double check fixture counts and confirm fixture types
  2. Be able to confirm Gear and sizes needed, be able to confirm lug sizes that will be needed, and when to release the gear needed.
  3. Manages work with other divisions to ensure successful project hand-off and with project managers throughout project as required to ensure successful project performance.
  4. Attends and holds meetings as required.


Work Scope:

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications and other relevant bid documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, other APIC divisions to discuss and formulate schedules and resolve issues.
  • Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes.
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Visit site, detailed walks and recording information pertinent to complete. 

 

Project turnover:

  • Properly turn over bid documents and sub buyout information to Project Manager in a timely manner.
  • Review drawings with Project Manager and highlight areas of concern
  • Review project cost with Project Manager and highlight subs/material vendors.
  • Complete project kick-off form to ensure compliance

 

Subcontractor award:

  • Thoroughly review proposals, checking for proper scope.
  • Ensure that subs are aware of (and commit to) the project period of performance
  • Provide subs with all relevant information.
  • Look for & qualify new subcontractors.

 

Customer Relationships:

  • Maintain contact with customers to ensure identification of opportunities and customer satisfaction
  • Complete follow up requests in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining good customer relations


INTERNAL/EXTERNAL COOPERATION:

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
