Job Description: Clinician I

Job Type: Full Time Equivalency/Exempt: 40 Hours per week Revolving

On-Call Requirement: 24/7/365

Mission: To guide those aging out of foster care and other vulnerable youth for successful transition to independence through housing, education, employment, and system of care coordination. Our vision is that no youth travels the road to adulthood alone.

FLITE Center Overview: FLITE Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth transitioning out of foster care and other vulnerable populations by providing comprehensive support services, resources, and guidance.

Purpose: The purpose of the Clinician I is to support clinical services to victims based on assessed needs in a victim-centered manner. The Clinician I supports the development of treatment plans for each victim served.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides individual, family, and group counseling;

• Supports the development and implementation of individual treatment plans for each victim served;

• Supports the development of the individual wellness plans alongside the Survivor Mentor and Regional Advocate;

• Facilitates crisis intervention care as needed to support the immediate needs of victims;

• Documents and reports to referral providers (as appropriated) in accordance with treatment goals;

• Participates in multidisciplinary teams to present cases for proper care;

• Works collaboratively with Regional Advocate and Survivor Mentors to ensure that the needs of victims are met;

• Completes documentation as required by funding entities, courts, referral sources;

• Provides training to referral agencies as needed to ensure appropriate interventions to meet the needs of commercially sexually exploited and sex trafficked victims;

• Other duties as assigned based on programmatic needs

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Master’s level degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or a Master’s degree with a concentration in one of the areas of Counseling such as: Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling., (registered intern in State of Florida status preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years related professional experience
