Our client, Dan's Overhead Doors, is seeking a dynamic and proactive Office Manager to join their Pleasant Hill, IA location.


The ideal candidate will bring experience in both residential and commercial customer service, as well as proven success in managing a small office environment. We’re looking for a self-motivated, reliable, and goal-oriented individual with a positive attitude who can support and enhance our sales and service teams in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM


Roles & Responsibilities:

The Office Manager will execute general administrative functions and oversee day-to-day activities in the Pleasant Hill office, including:


  • Customer Service: Manage full-cycle customer service tasks, including answering calls, providing quotes, scheduling installations, and ensuring project completion and billing.
  • Personnel Management: Handle basic HR functions, such as onboarding, ensuring timely completion of payroll timesheets, performance reviews, and addressing personnel issues.
  • Daily Oversight: Oversee both office and field staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Administrative Support: Perform clerical duties including maintaining files, answering phones, distributing mail, and preparing documents.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize Vision software for purchasing, creating and maintaining work orders, and job resolution.
  • Accounting Tasks: Manage billing, monitor expenses, process accounts receivable/payable, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of office supplies and consumables.
  • Sales Support: Assist with material ordering and provide manufacturers’ quotes to sales personnel.
  • Equipment & Vehicle Management: Monitor and track company vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and repairs.
  • Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in office administration or related field is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of administrative experience is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.
  • Leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • Positive outlook and ability to contribute to a cheerful workplace.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license.
