Easterseals is seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospitality Manager to oversee all aspects of our hospitality operations. This role encompasses leadership, culinary expertise, financial management, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for creating memorable experiences while ensuring compliance with all state and accreditation regulations.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:

    • Oversee and manage the hospitality team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
    • Ensure adherence to all state and accreditation requirements for the program.
    • Foster a positive and supportive work environment aligned with Easterseals values.
    • Collaborate with agency leadership to achieve strategic goals.

  • Hospitality Operations:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive hospitality plans, including menu planning, food ordering, and scheduling.
    • Manage daily operations of the food truck, catering services, and facility rentals.
    • Collaborate with the development team to maximize facility bookings and revenue.
    • Conduct cooking classes and ensure compliance with food safety regulations (ServSafe).
    • Oversee the vocational program's integration into hospitality operations.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests and clients.

  • Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the hospitality department's annual budget.
    • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures.
    • Work closely with the accounting team on purchasing, billing, and financial reporting.

  • Food Service and Dietary Needs:

    • Create and implement weekly menus, accommodating special dietary needs.
    • Collaborate with the Child Development Center to meet CACFP requirements.
    • Maintain accurate food cost and menu records.

  • Facilities and Maintenance:

    • Assist with facility upkeep and repairs as needed.
    • Collaborate with department directors and support teams to address facility needs.

  • Other Duties:

    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in quantity food cooking, food service management, and dietetics.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and achieve revenue goals.
  • ServSafe Certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • Life Guard Certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Valid Iowa Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Insurable under Easterseals vehicle insurance policy.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary starting at $19.95 per hour with potential increase after 90 days.
