Overview:

Are you driven to narrow the digital gap in New Jersey and New York City? Computers 4 People, a leading non-profit committed to digital inclusion, seeks a proactive and innovative Program Manager for our Hoboken office. This role is responsible for managing and expanding all programs serving New Jersey and New York City.

Yearly Goals and responsibilities:

  • Lead, nurture and grow team to accomplish goals

    • Computer Donation Supervisor

      • Collect, refurbish, and donate 2,000 computers to individuals/organizations in need.

      • Ensure all devices are properly erased according to Nist 800-88 Standard and refurbished to Computers 4 People Standard.

      • Inventory Management

      • Logistics around pickups/dropoffs

    • Computer Skills Supervisor

      • Teach 480 in-person computer skills classes.

      • Build new curriculum to meet the needs of funders/students

    • Internet Access

      • Mobile hotspot distribution

    • Instructors

    • Drivers

    • Volunteers

    • Interns

  • Create good practices for hiring in the future

  • Build ITAD relationships to enable external refurbishment, recycle, and resale.

  • Generate $100,000 in computer sales through ITAD partners.

  • Forge 50 new non-profit partnerships.

  • Establish 50 new corporate computer donor relationships and schedule pickups.

  • Organize 2 community events to boost brand visibility.

  • Launch 10 drop-off locations at retail businesses and libraries.

  • Create, manage, and stay within budget on a yearly basis.

  • Provide comprehensive reports to funders and the Executive Director on program performance and opportunities for growth.

  • Seek new grant/funding opportunities and work with grant writing/communications team to

  • Manage office space, rent, and office moving/expansion

  • Establish systems, procedures, and configure departments to run smoothly

  • Provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to take initiative and ownership over responsibilities

  • Business and sales experience

  • Proficiency in computer refurbishment and technology.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience or potential.

    • Able to keep staff accountable for goals

  • Dedication to our mission of digital inclusion and community support.

  • Willingness to play a pivotal role in building our New Jersey/NYC operations.

  • Non-profit experience.
