Our firm works with clients in a number of industries and has a rapidly growing restaurant and hospitality division that serves clients nationwide.

We are looking for an in-person only Payroll Assistant in the Topeka office. Full-time availability is needed, 40 hours per week.

If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have experience with various administrative tasks as assigned within the payroll department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Data entry
  • Filing
  • Maintaining databases
  • Maintaining mailing lists
  • Maintaining spreadsheets
  • Stuffing payroll checks and W-2's
  • Mailing and shipping
  • Organizing
  • Ability to work hours necessary to meet deadlines for work assigned
  • Organize schedule to meet the requirements of the assignments
  • Increased workload required during certain times of the month and year

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • In-office work throughout time in position, due to the administrative nature of the position; this position cannot be performed remotely
  • Individuals at this level normally have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-year office experience or education equivalent
  • Typing, 10-key, intermediate level knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with client-based payroll accounts
  • Experience in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment with proven success
  • Experience with accounting software
