Responsible for the management of all international shipments from the company with tasks including quoting, document creation, customer contact and working with forwarders on all shipments. Responsibilities:
  • Work with Customer Service to quote shipments using estimated weights and dims and identify best potential shipping method.
  • Communicate with Forwarding Agents to efficiently execute the timely and accurate shipment of goods.
  • Create international shipping documents including BOL, SLI, COO, DG, and CI.
  • Work with Quality Department on creation of customer specific certificates for shipping.
  • Support the supplier quality material return process (RMA).
  • Oversee and coordinate the packaging and creation of documents for shipments of dangerous goods.
  • Monitor and push shipments requiring Letters of Credit to process completion.
  • Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments.
  • Act as back up for Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in the facility.
  • Perform daily cycle counts to support the Cycle Count Program and ensure inventory accuracy in the system.
  • Support Customer Service activities.
  • Ability to work independently and recognize opportunities to contribute to improvements.
  • Practices safe material handling techniques.
  • Protect the company's value by keeping information confidential.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in business, logistics, supply chain or similar preferred.
  • 3+ years of shipping and international logistics experience.
  • 2+ years of forklift operating experience.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge – Outlook, Epicor, Excel, Word.
  • Experience with freight carriers (including UPS, FedEx, DHL) and Freight Forwarders.
  • International shipping experience, including strong knowledge of international documentation.
  • Dangerous Goods Shipment Certification.
  • Physically able to lift and handle 35 lbs.
  • Good verbal and written skills to communicate with Leadership
  • Strong work ethic complemented by a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong participative skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a sensitivity to people required.
  • Ability to thrive in a progressive, results-driven organization.
