Medical Assistants will relay messages between providers, patients, and other medical facilities. Provide authorizations for medical testing. Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and communicating effectively with management, customers, and co-workers. May possibly have to go into patient's homes or assisted living facility to do a telemed visit with telemed provider.

Responsibilities:

· Answer phone calls and questions from callers

· Record patient’s medical activity in MEDENT

· Scheduling/Assisting providers telemedicine visits/Annual Wellness Visits

· Perform medical clerical duties to include some of the following:

  • Medical record requests,
  • Creating triages,
  • Enrolling new patients,
  • Maintaining fax tank,
  • Returning voicemails,
  • ADT processing,
  • Coordinating DME requests,
  • Lab reports,
  • Processing patient paperwork/documentation

· Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

· Associates Degree in a medical field preferred not required

· One to three years of experience preferred

· Proficient with MEDENT or a similar EMR software

· Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word experience

· HIPPA & Medical terminology knowledge

· Strong customer service skills

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

· Effective communication skills – verbal and written.

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a high volume of calls

· Detailed oriented with a proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy
