Job Duties:

  • Responsible for coordinating, administering and performing the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.
  • Act as Technical Liaison between OEM, After Market, and CV customers and Quality, Operations, and Program Management Teams.
  • Work with team to meet and exceed Plant/Customer KPI's and comply with all RBOS, ISO/IATF-16949 and Customer Specific requirements.
  • Support plant quality systems, material dispositions, and quality training activities. Inform quality management team regarding customer feedback and expectations on product's quality.
  • Communicate urgent issues to Quality Leadership. Communicate between the customer and the plant, and maintain positive communication.
  • Participate as Layered Process Auditor. Lead customer quality scorecard tracking and improvement efforts.
  • Responsible for analyzing and driving key quality metrics such as Customer RMA's, Warranty, COPQ, and PPM.
  • Responsible for summarizing, quantifying, and reporting regularly progress on external quality metrics. Report all customer issues that affect Customer Scorecards to Quality Leadership.
  • Responsible for completion of any customer specific advanced quality planning requirements: Input/maintain all customer portals on all quality related activities (Scorecards, PPAP, 8D, VPP, Warranty Claims, etc).
  • Implement all documentation required for PPAP, PSW customer approvals. Track, update and close all customer action items on time.
  • Ensure IMDS/REACH/RoHS, etc. activities are updated, coordinate efforts with Contractor (RGBSI). Log all customer issues/concerns in Plex 8D system. Provide customers with timely implementation of customer quality requirements, resolution of issues related to quality of products and services.
  • Engage with 8D teams and co-work on urgent and complex customer quality issues. Assist Quality team to drive corrective and preventive actions resulting from product and process non-conformity issues.
  • Assist Quality team to define and implement product quality planning and control process based on customers' specifications and requirements. Visit customers and/or participate in remote meetings as required.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field, plus 4 years of experience in each of the following: AIAG standard and core tools, including APQP and PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charts, R@R, SPC, MSA, Capacity Analysis, GR Customer portals for APQP and problem control; Manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities, and equipment; Problem-solving techniques; Conducting supplier audits; Supporting Design reviews including GD&T and Key Characteristics (Safety / Critical Characteristics); Working with and developing quality performance metrics; Analytic problem-solving; and Applying quality problem solving methods including: fishbone diagrams, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, or Six Sigma, etc.
