Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Broadway Tower. The ideal candidate will have experience in building maintenance, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the property is safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct repairs and replacements for various building components such as lighting, fixtures, flooring, and other structures.
- Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs, including preparing and inspecting units.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Assist in emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, or other urgent maintenance issues.
- Keep common areas, mechanical rooms, and maintenance workspaces clean and organized.
- Communicate effectively with tenants and management regarding maintenance issues and solutions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- HVAC certification and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.
