Job Summary
Live-In, Full time Superintendent for 66 Unit Cooperative in Brooklyn. Monday through Saturday morning. (1 Bedroom Apartment included and must live on premises). Were looking to hire a hard-working Superintendent who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. Youll be responsible for all emergency situations 24/7, knowledge of boilers, plumbing, carpentry, painting, compactors, landscaping, grounds keeping, cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, glass cleaning, painting. Maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, snow shoveling, emptying trash, checking and clearing drains on property. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, has experience, must be organized, works well with people, and takes pride in a job well done. This is a Union job with Union benefits including health insurance, and a one-bedroom apartment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building
  • Boiler and compactor maintenance.
  • Vacuum carpets, mop floors, garbage, empty compactor, snow shoveling, all cleaning, maintain laundry room, garbage areas, garage, grounds, landscaping.
  • Clean windows, replace light bulbs, maintain boiler room, and perform minor repairs on a regular basis.
  • Assist Management with new work or projects assigned.
  • Write daily reports of work done and notify the manager of minor or major repairs or any issues immediately.
Qualifications
  • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as a superintendent of a multi family building of similar size.
  • Experience with boilers, compactors, plumbing, carpentry, painting and handyman work.
  • Excellent stamina and physical health
  • Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be organized and good with people.
