Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our team, as an Accounts Payable Specialist. The AP Specialist will work internally with the Claims Financial Services Manager and externally with vendors to accomplish daily processing of a high volume of invoices related to the management of liability insurance claims. This role reports directly to the Claims Financial Services Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Claims Financial Services Manager, this position will support the accounts payable activities of the organization, including providing backup for the weekly check run / ACH payment batches
  • Maintain all vendor information including W9 collection and ACH payment details
  • Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits
  • Annual 1099 reporting
  • Assisting with the completion of payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
  • Research and respond to all Accounts Payable inquiries in a prompt manner
  • Other related Accounts Payable procedures, as needed

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in an accounts payable position or related role
  • Highschool Diploma required
  • High level of integrity; ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Attention to detail; ability to multi-task while staying organized
  • Adept at using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook, and ability to quickly learn computer software programs

This role is 20-29 hours per week with a flexible schedule and two (2) in office days per month (1st and 3rd Wednesday's) after the initial onboarding (Tuesday's and Wednesday's for the first month). Candidate must be local to MA, RI, CT, NH, or ME.
