Job Description:

Forge is seeking a Project Specialist to support the General Services Administration (GSA) as a Systems Analyst supporting complex data migration tasks for the Office of Corporate Information Technology (IT) Services (IC) HR & Payroll IT Services Division (ICS).

This position is contingent on the award of a contract and grant of funding.

Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):

Technical Skills

• Requirements Analysis: Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for implementation and validation through test planning.
• Data Analysis: Proficiency in data manipulation and interpretation, using tools like SQL, Excel, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, MicrosStrategy, SAP Business Objects).
• Technical Documentation: Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation such as user stories, use cases, and system specifications.
• System Design: Understanding of system architecture and design principles to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Knowledge of various methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Database Management: Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS) like RedShift, MySQL, or MariaDB.
• Programming Skills: Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C#/.Net, JavaScript) can be helpful.
• API Integration: Understanding of API concepts and experience with API integration and testing.

Analytical Skills

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions.
• Critical Thinking: Skills to evaluate complex situations and make informed decisions.
• Process Mapping: Proficiency in creating process flows, diagrams, and models using tools like Visio or Google Drawings.

Business Skills

• Stakeholder Management: Skills to engage and manage the expectations of various stakeholders.
• Change Management: Knowledge of change management principles and how to apply them to support transitions.
• Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate requirements, timelines, and resources with stakeholders and technical teams.

Communication Skills

• Verbal Communication: Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
• Written Communication: Proficiency in creating comprehensive and understandable documentation and reports.
• Presentation Skills: Capability to present findings and recommendations effectively to different audiences.

• US Citizen
• Bachelor's degree in IT related field, plus six (6) years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrable experience in business and systems analysis and data migration projects.
• Demonstrable experience in all required skills detailed above.
• Ability to pass a Tier 2 background check for employment as a federal contractor.

Job: Full-time

Salary Range: $118k-$129k/yr
