DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Customer request for quotations in their entirety including, but not limited to, reviewing technical specifications and commercial terms, evaluation of project requirements to determine proposal approach and strategy, project risk evaluation and contingency development, and preparation of pricing model(s).
  • Participating in site visits as part of bidding requirements and assist in the development of an executable technical approach or plan, draft subcontractor approaches and solicit pricing as required, and collaborating with subject matter experts and/or senior management on key technical issues or strategies.
  • Preparation of proposal documents and formal submittal, compiling project specific forms and responses, editing or creating form templates to suit project specifications, and provide general proposal support at the guidance of senior management.
  • Review and complete Customer pre-qualification packages; conduct subcontractor evaluations and new vendor or supplier analysis as required.
  • Manage assigned proposals including, but not limited to, status tracking and updating Company’s CRM system, responding to Customer questions, collaborating with operational staff to determine personnel and equipment availability, and convert proposals to work orders within Company’s CRM system.
  • Process awarded contracts and coordinate the negotiation of legal terms under direction of designated management, validate pricing and proposal notes, clarifications, and exceptions were accepted, and manage pre-award activities to execute contracts.
  • Manage assigned projects including, but not limited to, completing, and submitting project deliverables, documents, and other customer requirements within prescribed deadlines, coordinate subcontractor and vendor work scopes as required, collaborate with operational staff to assign personnel on master schedule, filing project reports, updates, and other field generated documents, and managing project financials.
  • Change order management and collaborating with operational staff and/or senior management, as needed, to negotiate contract revisions and scope additions/deductions; preparation of estimates and other pricing models to reach final settlements.
  • Support financial budgeting process for assigned projects or group of projects, assisting with sales forecasting and estimated project volume for planning purposes.
  • Interface with Customers, subcontractors, vendors, department managers, and other stakeholders while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor; gathering information and conducting research as needed to respond to Customers' technical/commercial inquires.
  • Review contractual safety requirements, process, and route for completion any required pre-project safety analyses or forms, and coordinate with the Safety Department to identify and mitigate potential safety concerns; coordinate with assigned Field Project Management and provide general project support as it relates to safety under the direction of senior management and/or Safety Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills: must be a self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to draft formal communication and reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with varying functional areas of the business and related managers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required, bachelor’s degree in Related Field (Business Administration, Construction Management) is Desirable
  • Minimum 3-5 Years in Project Management in Related Industry, Preferably Experience in Field Service Engineering, Construction or Similar Industries
  • CAPM®, PMP® or Other Related Certifications are a Plus; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Microsoft Dynamics Field Service Experience Desirable); Legal/Contractual Experience is Highly Desirable
