MISSION STATEMENT

JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Retail Operations (corporate) will be part of the corporate Retail Operations team and will direct and oversee our national retail operations strategy. This role includes development of key national retail initiatives, standard operating procedures, training programs and our customer support function. Reporting to the VP, Retail Operations, this individual will support planning and prioritization of our national retail initiatives, ensuring consistent communication and execution of these initiatives in over 70 dispensaries across 6 states. This individual will manage a team of leaders that serve as the conduit between corporate support functions and our regional retail leadership. This role requires experience managing high-performing teams and strong collaboration with partners in regional retail operations, marketing, IT, HR, finance, compliance and legal.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Develop a cohesive national retail strategy & tactical plan, working closely with the VP, Retail Operations and regional retail leadership to develop strategies and standards for our retail vertical
  • Build plans for all aspects of national retail operations, ensuring consistent store-level execution and adherence
  • Demonstrate an ability to gain alignment with in-region retail leaders and stakeholders, ensuring national retail initiatives have regional buy-in
  • Lead a dynamic team of managers spanning various subject areas including national initiatives planning, communications, training, SOP documentation and customer relations.
  • Manage a team responsible for our national retail communications, ensuring national initiatives are clearly communicated to the right stakeholders to drive best-in-class execution
  • Hold your team to a high standard of reliability, ensuring consistent delivery against timelines and total retail priorities
  • Manage to a corporate retail operations budget including quarterly forecasting and reporting in collaboration with finance
  • Coach and develop your team of leaders including building of professional development plans and completing quarterly performance reviews
  • Provide guidance and influence decision-making processes, resolving conflicts and obstacles that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the core liaison between corporate Retail Operations and region Retail Operations, driving trust and efficiency by supporting region ambitions and goals with tactical plans and strategies

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in a related industry
  • Minimum of 3 years leading and developing a team
  • Proven track record of people management
  • Strong organization, project management and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
