We are looking for a mid-career ecologist with a strong background in data science to join an interdisciplinary team of scientists and landscape architects working on restoration and natural resource management projects throughout the United States.

Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements for consideration:

  • PhD degree in Ecology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Forensics, Environmental Data Science, Environmental Management, or directly related field.

OR

  • Master’s degree in in Ecology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Forensics, Environmental Data Science, Environmental Management, or directly related field and at least five years of post-grad, professional experience in quantitative ecology, spatial modeling, ecological risk assessment, ecotoxicology, fate & transport, environmental forensics, ecological restoration, or environmental management outside of the academic environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Strong statistical analysis skillset with the ability to build and run complex models.
  • Demonstrated experience using scientific programming languages (e.g., R, Python) to fit a variety of spatial/spatiotemporal statistical models to ecological data.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience presenting technical information to stakeholders in an accessible, clear manner.
  • Site suitability and feasibility assessment to inform restoration or mitigation.
  • Demonstrated ecological project management experience, ideally on projects exceeding a budget of $100,000.
  • Environmental litigation strategy and expert witness support.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., professional wetland scientist, certified environmental professional, etc.).
