Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all planning, scheduling, monitoring, and execution of maintenance activities at our facility, including the warehouse and forge. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of maintenance personnel, including supervisors, electricians, mechanics, and contractors, to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with all maintenance activities. The Maintenance Manager will provide performance updates to management by attending regular production meetings and creating charts, tables, presentations, and reports for monthly or quarterly corporate operational reviews.
Job Duties:
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software tools.
- Considerable knowledge of the standard methods, principles, practices, tools, and equipment of the maintenance trades.
- Considerable knowledge of electric motors, generators, pumps, pressure systems, water systems, and other equipment and systems of the maintenance trades.
- Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Ability to plan and design projects, and work from sketches, blueprints, and manuals.
- Ability to monitor and evaluate programs and organizational performance to assess efficiency and effectiveness.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
What you need to be successful:
- Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 7 or more years of experience in maintenance management or a related field, preferably in a forging manufacturing environment
- Certified industrial maintenance mechanic.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment.
- Experience in Lean Principles and programs.
- Experience with CMMS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as maintenance best practices and techniques.
- Ability to monitor and evaluate programs and organizational performance to assess efficiency and effectiveness.
